Saturday, Jennifer and Bert (engagement) were wed at Bradley’s Pond. Though, rain was in the forecast, the weather behaved quite nicely for their outdoor ceremony and Bert’s surprise. Bert arranged for a friend, hidden on the opposite shore, to set off a fireworks display just after the two exchanged vows, totally surprising the bride and unsuspecting guests. Jennifer and Bert’s union was celebrated through the afternoon and into the evening. Jennifer’s dad even jammed for awhile on the guitar to celebrate. Please enjoy a few pictures from the wedding and the slide show.

For the past few months, I have been making some improvements to Lewis Johnson Photography.
1: I have launched a new website. I hope you like the new presentation. The gallery structures allows me to not only show my favorites, but to highlight individual client sessions. What do you think?
2: For my clients, the customer service system has undergone some upgrades. Each client now has a mini-website, where one can continuously enter wedding information, access questionnaires, monitor product deliverables, view contracts and pay invoices online.
3: The blog as undergone minor tweaks.
4: We have made some pricing changes for 2009. We will honor all outstanding pricing information given to perspective clients until Feb 8th.
Please bare with us over the next few days as we resolve the minor glitches.
Have a great weekend!
Next week Previews: Jennifer + Bert’s Wedding and Jennifer & Ryan’s Engagement Story.

Technology sure is an amazing thing. A new generation of digital SLR cameras has emerged that allows one to not only capture images at unprecedented megapixel counts but also enables the capture of a full HD video stream. Never to be one to back away from “the latest and greatest,” we have made some investments in the future.
Now the question will be asked “do you do video?”. The simple answer is “No.” Wedding videography is best left to the professional videographers. They are masters of their craft. On wedding day we love “hunting” for those moments of pure joy and other emotions. To us, still photography provides the ability to capture rare moments in time that are of utmost importance to our clients. We will continue to master our craft.
With that said, we feel that video does have a place in engagement (couples) sessions. Video integrated with still photography affords the opportunity to build an unique short mixed-media presentation that reinforces the emotions and bonds our couples share for one another.
Kenyatta and Kelvin, were the first guinea pigs for my vision of the new offering for couples. For now please enjoy Kenyatta + Kelvin: Remix
