They grow up so fast.  It seems like yesterday, I was welcoming Hanna into my research lab. Now 4 years later she is graduating with her BS in Physics and Biomedical Engineering.  Now the bird is leaving the nest and is off for internships in Ethiopia and Brazil.  Look at her proud father and uncle.  I will truly miss her warm smile and the knowledge she has gain working on her “Bacteria detection using LIBS” project.

Gigi is having a graduation party and needed a few pictures. One of her favorite places, like many young ladies is the mail. So we spent a few moments there during her special session.

Let me introduce Kesia Brown, owner of one of Florida’s newest State Farm Agencies. Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting to know Kesia during a Lifestyle Session. Why should engaged couples have all the fun. Introducing, the [re]-engagement sessions for lovers whether married or “just” dating. A session makes the perfect Valentines or “Just Because” gift.

First up: Jim and Jaimi

Married: July 30, 2005 ( 2.5 Years)

Jaimi, how did you meet and when did you first realize you loved Jim? We met when we both worked at the Silver Slipper Restaurant while in college. I was a cocktail waitress and he was a server. We were friends for quite some time before we became romantic. I remember seeing him come in to apply for the server position though and thought, “wow, he’s hot!”

The feelings were there but I was blind to them until we came home from a road trip to see Dave Matthews in concert. We started officially dating a week after that. I first realized (or admitted to myself) that I loved him when we were sitting outside Andrew’s Downtown talking about our new found romance in each other. I remember being giddy but at peace – I had found the man for me!

Jim, how did you meet and when did you first realize you loved Jaimi? We meet at the Silver Slipper restaurant. I first realized I loved her on December 31st, 2001. We were at McCabe’s Restaurant in Naples, Florida. I just stopped her in the restaurant and came out and said it.

Jaimi, what do you love the most about Jim? Jim is a chivalrous and honorable man.

Jim, what do you love the most about Jaimi? I’m fascinated by her. I have never met anyone who can attract people the way she can. She makes friends with everyone. Being in the same room with her, often at dinner, is the best part of my day. She’s well organized too!

This past weekend, we took portraits during the annual Jack and Jill Christmas brunch. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful holiday spirit in the beautiful families. Thank you for allowing us to capture the love and excitement of family during this holiday season.

Allow me to be the first to introduce Samantha and Baronessa (two FSU graduate students), the authors of Caliami’s Guide for College Living. Caliami’s Guide provides advice on responsible money management through the four years of college. The pictures below are their choices for inclusion in the book and its promotions. Look for them, I surely will.

BTW: Caliami – According to the urban dictionary is – A dream/destination to where a group of friends want to move. It is specifically either to Miami Florida or anywhere in California. - I learned something new today.
